Olli Pohjakallio was awarded the degree of Master of Laws in 1987 at the University of Helsinki and received the title of Master of Laws trained on the bench in 1991 having carried out the practice at the Helsinki City Court. In 1992 Pohjakallio took the bar examination. In 1995 Pohjakallio was awarded the Master of Law - diploma in English in EU and Comprative Law.
After graduation Olli Pohjakallio has worked, among others, at the law firms Asianajotoimisto Arne Therman & Co. (1987-1989), Asianajotoimisto Nordic Law Offices Sundström & Co. (1991) and Asianajotoimisto Matti Wuori (1992). Pohjakallio founded his own law firm in 1995.
In the office attorney Olli Pohjakallio is first and foremost in charge of matters related to company reorganizations, bankruptcies and other insolvency issues and legal problems of companies. Pohjakallio also attends to economic offences and matters related to the EU, labor, recovery proceedings and tax law.
As an expert in loan arrangements of private persons, Pohjakallio has belonged to the Board of Directors of Velkaneuvonta ry (Debt Counseling, registered association) since 1995, and since 1997, as representative of Finland, to the Collection Watch Work Group whose activities the European Union has financed. In said matters, Pohjakallio has participated / has been heard as an expert both at the Finnish Parliament (changes in the laws of guarantee, recovery proceedings and loan arrangements) and at international meetings (CDN, ECOSOC, etc.) Lawyer Pohjakallio is a member of the delegation of the Finnish Bar Association.
